Tutorial
This is a step by step guide on how to use the ACS Split tool to calculate profits and transports between the players.
Step 1: Choosing Sides
When you first open the tool, it will prompt you to choose what side are you on, Attackers or Defenders. The choice determines how the tool behaves.
Step 2: Enter Report Keys
You will now be directed to the tool with empty information where you will add your first report. Naturally, you would first add any Combat Reports and all the Recycle Reports associated with your attack. After you enter the key in text field on the top of the page, press +Add
for the report to be loaded from the OGame Servers.
Note: Debris picked up by Reapers after combat will not be included in the Net Split if you enter the Combat Report Key. If you need that debris to be included in the Net Split, you need to enter the Recycle Report key that belongs to the Reaper Pickup.
You can also add you own Custom Reports. Click on +Add Custom Report
to start creating a new one.
In Custom Reports, You will have to specify if its a Combat or Recycle Report and enter the information required.
Step 3: Enter Hyperspace Technology
Hyperspace Technology for each players is not returned in the data requested from the OGame Servers, so it is very important that hyperspace technology is entered for each player involved in the report because it plays a major role in the calculation of loot and profits.
Step 4: Enter Deuterium Consumption (Optional)
If your team wishes that deuterium consumption is reimbursed, you can enter the consumption for each player where it is asked for and the player will be reimbursed.
Step 5: Results and Resource Transports
When you're done adding and editing all the reports, you can now see the result of the profit split. The result will be a table that looks like this:
The table is split into three main parts:
- Summary
- Player Results
- Transport Summary
In Summary, all the totals are displayed. They are as follows:
- Total Gain: Resources collected by all the players in all the reports.
- Total Loss: Resources lost by all the players in battle from ships being destroyed.
- Consumption: Resources lost by all the players in deuterium consumption.
- Net Split: The total profit that remains to be divided. The formula for this is
Net Split = Total Gain - Total Loss(if set) - Consumption(if set)
.
For each Player Result, the following information is displayed:
- Resources: Resources collected by this player whether in combat or recycle missions.
- Units Lost: Resources lost by this player in battle from ships being destroyed.
- Consumption: Resources lost by this player in deuterium consumption.
- Player Cut: Resources that the user will receive from the Net Split(see summary).
- Contribution: Resources that the user will should send or receive from other players.
If Contribution is positive for a resource, it means that this player owes other players this resource. In the image above, the player Tanavast
has positive contribution values for all resources, which means that player should send resources in that amount to the other players.
If Contribution is negative for a resource, it means that this player is owed this amount of resources and should receive it from one of the players who has a positive contribution value for that resource. You will see a textbox with a value to its right under each negative contribution value. To the left of this textbox is a name, that name is the person who should send resources to the player with the negative contribution value. Filling this textbox defines what the owed player receives from player that can send. You can automatically fill that textbox by clicking on the value between parenthesis.
This is what the table will look after settling the resources between the players:
When all resources are settled, you can view the Transport Summary below for a readable description of resource transports between the players.
Settings
If you click on the settings cog in the top right corner, you can edit some option that may change in how the split is calculated. The settings are as follows:
- Reimburse resources lost from destroyed fleet: this defines whether the units lost by each player from ships destroyed in battle to be returned to that player before the Player Cut is calculated.
- Reimburse resources lost in fuel consumption: this defines whether the units lost by each player from deuterium consumption to be returned to that player before the Player Cut is calculated.
- Calculate the Net Split based on fleet weight: if this is set, the Player Cut will be calculated based on the weight of the fleet each player sent. This means the more ships you send, the higher your cut will be. However, if this is not set, the Net Split will be divided equally between the players.
- Esponiage probes have storage capacity: some servers have cargo capacity set for Esponiage Probes which affects the calculation of the loot. This is automatically set when you enter a Combat Report Key as it retrieves the information from OGame Servers. In case you are entering Custom Reports, you need to set this value for accuracy.
- Convert deuterium consumption to metal and crystal: if you decide to reimburse deuterium consumption AND convert the deuterium to metal and crystal, set this option. This will divide the consumption equally for metal and crystal then multiply it by the rate that you specify after setting this option.
Share
You can share your ACS Split report with your teammates or OGame staff by clicking on the Share button on the top right. This generates a link that you can copy and send to your friends. It is recommended to click on the share button after you're done with entering information and settling resources between the players.
