Disable .ds_store from being written to network shares:

defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores -bool true

DS_Store holds metadata such as folder locations and 'previously sorted by' in the finder window.

Software to install

• macOS Software

Other configs

• Go through all settings in System Preferences

Time machine setup

• mount time machine share from unraid
• launch time machine
• unmount time machine share -- do this otherwise the mount will fail
• finish clicking connect in the time machine setup
