10/05/2020 2D TOP DOWN MAP

I started sketching the 2D top-down of my new level, having ideas on how to make it I have stumbled upon three different ideas.

I finally got my idea of how the map is going to be and how it is going to be the layout, what the ambiance is going to be, and some sightlines in mind.

10/6/2020 STARTED TO MIND THE PROCESS

I opened trenchbroom and started to create some drafts of the actual map, it's nothing yet but it is taking some kind of form little by little.

Fast forward a couple of hours, decided to start creating just the layout of the map in unity because trenchbroom confuses me a little, but after I'm done with unity I will have an idea of how I really want the level to be.

10/18/2020 CLEANED THE MAP OF ANY BUGS

I got in my forms some feedback that my map had some spots where you could get stuck on and the doors were too slim or short for the player to go through them, so I got that fixed, made the doors wider and the random spots where you could get stuck is not a problem anymore.

10/19/2020 POWER-UPS AND PICK-UPS

I started to place some power-ups and pick-ups through the map to make the player try and use different guns other than the original shotgun and also some health packs in the case the player needs a recovery for the next fight with someone.

**10/19/2020 FEEDBACK

I let some of my friends played the map and got some feedback on it, I still need to improve a little bit more on the spawns and how you can get stuck in one of them, but the overall layout of the map they thought it was great, they said: "It's very good for a 4 player max if it is more than that you'll need a bigger map".

I plan on changing my map based on the feedback people have left me on my forms, on how the lava pit had some places where you could fall forever out of the map, and how the middle pickup was not as high reward as another one on the map by having such a high risk.

**10/26/2020 TEXTURE AND LIGHTING

The feel I'm trying to give this map is a rusty and abandoned old dungeon, not very bright but not very dark either so it feels like something is still living there and it is still being used but you are not sure.
