Promotions in Milo are done with the help of MEP. See Authoring Documentation

How to enable

• Go to the root/.helix and open config.xlsx
• Add a line for the default metadata, key: ‘metadata’ value: ‘/metadata.json’
• Add a line for the promo metadata, key: ‘metadata’ value: ‘/metadata.json’
• Save and preview with sidekick. You should see the message ‘Configuration applied successfully’
• Verify that default metadata still is shown on any of the affected pages
