This feature is optional for the Multiple Text and Text fields. It allows users to insert metadata in multiple lines rather than a single line.

  • To enable multiline:

    • Navigate to the configurator (Metadata Panel > Settings > Open View Settings)

    • Add or edit a field (click the + Add button or editing pencil)

    • Set the field to Text (single- or multi- value)

    • Navigate to the Advanced tab and

    • Click the toggle switch to enable Multiple Lines

    • Click Save

  • Once complete, your Metadata panel will have the following functionality.

    • Users can enter text on several lines within the same field.

    • Adding lines can be done by pressing Enter on your keyboard.

    • User can edit each text field by clicking into it.

    • When a multitext field is active, users can change the order of text fields by using the up and down arrows on the right side of each text field.

    • Users can delete an entry by clicking the garbage can icon.
