Changing Array Type to Bag or Sequence - adobe-dmeservices/custom-metadata GitHub Wiki
Arrays
XMP data can be stored in ordered (Sequence) or unordered (Bag) arrays. Sequences often represent data for which the order is important, such as steps in a process or values representing measurements. Bags represent values for which the order is not important.
You can choose Bag or Sequence array types for these field types: Multiple Dropdown, Multiple Text, Multiple Number, Multiple Date, Structures, and Tags. You can set the array type for a field when you create a new field, or you can modify the array for an existing field.
- Open the configurator (Metadata Panel > Preferences).
- Click View Editor> and select a View
- Add or edit a field (click the +Add Metadata button or editing pencil)
- Navigate to the Advanced tab
- Designate Array Type as a Bag or a Sequence. (default is Bag for most field types)
- Click Save
- Close the View Editor
- Click Done to reload Custom Metadata
- Users can then rearrange the values in a multi-value property using the arrows that appear on the right hand side of the selected entry
