we are freaks but we think different too - adhdgeeks/ADHD-Geeks GitHub Wiki

We are freaks! Deal with it and not be ashamed of it!

Our minds are weird:

  • Sometimes a bit like a reverse Asperger and others we are a bit like them too.

    • Others are hipersocial,

    • Others have social phobia, mainly because bad experiences and get anxiety when being in groups of unknown people: * We get afraid others ridiculize us:

      • Some of us have been, recently were and/or still are victims of bullying in certain environments.

Our potentially defiant behavior: Very disruptive, good and bad sides

We can be Defiant in different degrees:

The inconformist, transgressive and progressive way!

  • The world is full of people with herd mentality, afraid to question their believes and their environment.

    • That’s the reason some things in the world go very bad.

The dark side

Sometimes we change from one role or other depending on our self-steem and other factors, it’s not a homogeneous group like other syndromes!

  • React impulsively and irrational:

    • We can hurt ourselves or others.

      • This can make others think negatively about us.

        • Despite we had good intentions, people aren’t in your mind.

  • Lack of strategy: People have tons of masks, things are disguised all time. We must deal with it.

    • Other people or even the world may be wrong, but we must survive beyond that and react positively.

      • You must think about your actions and have a smarter and more strategic attitude, finding the most logical reasoning behind it

        • Maybe you were wrong.

        • Maybe you have more facts to show you are right instead getting upset and not be productive

          • Wasn’t Copernicus and Galileo mad men that believed earth wasn’t flat? People plus powerful institutions got against him, yet finally their enemies finally weren’t able to hide the trust and accepted it ;)

  • Submissive, potentially making others abusively take advantage of it.

    • You can get into a slave from others even less skilled than you, and fail at everything while the rest get "free lunch".

    • Don’t be a fool, but not a tyrant too: Be near people to form a reciprocally beneficial relationship, in a symbiotic way.

    • Don’t make this happen! This can convert anyone into a bomb!

      • You hide your negative reactions, until all them explode!

        • If you are worried about this: Learn about asertivity.
