First of all download last version of this program and place it where you want. It's not a bad idea to place it in your home folder. Open the command line and paste these commands.

cd ~ wget http://torrentexpander.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/torrentexpander.sh You must change permissions set:

chmod +x torrentexpander.sh Add this line to your ~/.rtorrent.rc config file, using a text editor:

system.method.set_key = event.download.finished,torrentexpander,"execute=/path/to/your/torrentexpander.sh,$d.get_base_path=,$d.get_base_filename=" Instead of this, if you want use Torrentexapander only after you have finish to seed, use this (raccomanded):

system.method.set_key = event.download.closed,torrentexpander,"execute=/path/to/your/torrentexpander.sh,$d.get_base_path=,$d.get_base_filename=" Now you are ready to configure:
