Nessus is a service that can be used to conduct vulnerability scans

Setup

Start Nessus: sudo systemctl start nessusd

Go to website https://127.0.0.1:8834/ Username:student Password:335Champ!

Policies, New Advanced Scan

Host Discovery: Uncheck Test Local Nessus Host

Disable all Local Security Checks in plugins

Go to scan and add the host as the target, then click launch

Tips / Issues

Sometimes you need to clear the cache in order for the API to work
