What is ADDS?

• ADDS or Active Directory Domain Service allows admins to manage and store information about resources from a network into a database. ADDS helps admins to manage computers and users, and reorder them into a custom hierarchy. ADDS integrates security by authenticating logins and controlling who has access to directory resources.

In the Lab:

• We were able to a domain user as well as a non-privileged account for our DNS server. As long as the other workstations are connected to the DNS server, any of the accounts can be used.
