Ingesting videos - acl-org/acl-anthology GitHub Wiki

This document describes how to submit videos to the Anthology so that they can be displayed on the paper pages, like this one.

Submitting videos

Ingestion is simple.

  1. Please create a Github issue for the ingestion.

  2. Attach a TSV file with columns anthology_id and presentation_url

  3. Post a link to a tarball containing all the videos, named by Anthology ID.

TSV file format

The TSV file should have the following format.

We currently permit linking to Slideslive, Vimeo (vimeo.com), or Youtube (YouTube.com).

Please note that at the moment (June 2021), we are unable to display videos for plenary talks or other recordings that are not associated with a paper. You can submit these videos for private internal archival, and we will display them at some later point. We have plans in the works to add this feature, and hope to have it finished by the end of 2021.

Tarball

Additionally, please provide a link to a tarball, Google Drive, or Dropbox folder containing all of the video files. We need these so that we can properly archive them, in case the linked sites are decommissioned. Each file should be named as its Anthology ID, with the proper extension (e.g., 2020.acl-main.34.mp4). We support both MP4 and MOV formats for local archiving.
