Import Assign screen - acidbubbles/vam-timeline GitHub Wiki
Accessible from the import/export screen.
This screen allows you to select which animations to import, and where to import them.
- If a layer in your animation has the same list of targets as your imported animation, you can import it into the existing layer.
- If your imported animation has no conflicting targets with your existing layers, you can import it into a new layer.
- You can always import animations in a new segment instead, as long as there are no conflicting targets with the shared segment layers.
Once you have configured your animations, you can proceed with Import.
Global actions
- Deselect all and Select all will quickly toggle Selected for import on every animation in the list.
- Prefer existing segment will choose an existing or new layer on an existing segment whenever possible (default); prefer new segment will always choose a new segment.
- Import will start the import process. The number shown is the amount of valid and selected animations that will be imported.
Animations actions
- Valid for import will be toggled if there is no problem preventing import. If there is a problem it will be shown in the status box below.
- Selected for import allows to skip importing animations you may not want.
- Segment determines which segment will receive the imported animation. Only valid segments will be shown, as well as the new segment that will be created otherwise.
- Layer determines which layer will receive the imported animation. Will usually only contain one value, either an existing layer to import into or a new layer to create.
- Name is the imported animation name.
- Status shows additional information if the import is not valid.
