Archer C2300 has a serial UART pins exposed - TTL 3.3v level. It can be accessed very easily without opening the router! Just two needles required :)

Take a close look of your router and you will see 4 pins on the PCB board very easily accessible via ventilating holes.
The pins, from LEFT to RIGHT (the last one to the RIGHT has square pin, while other are round).
- vcc 3.3v - do not connect to your usb-ttl serial adapter
- gnd - it's easier to get gnd from antenna connector on the top
- rx (green wire on the photo)
- tx (blue wire on the photo)
