Prepping for Installation

Make sure xubuntu-wan is turned off
Open datastore2-super8 and select Datastore Browser
- Create a Directory and name it vmware
- Making sure you are in the vmware directory, select Upload
- Navigate to \\foster-synology.cyber.local\480-SHARE\
- Upload the installation file for vCenter
Close the Datastore Browser when finished
Navigate to the settings of xubuntu-wan
- Change the Datastore ISO File to the Center file
- make sure to disconnect, then reconnect the CD drive
Start xubuntu-wan

Install vCenter through xubuntu-wan

On the command terminal, navigate to the installation file with the following command:
- cd /media/brianna/WMware\ VCSA/vcsa-ui-installer/lin64
Install vCenter with the following command:
- ./installer
The installation through the UI will be done in two parts
Part 1
- Steps 1-3 will be the defaults
- Step 4 is the following:
- Steps 5-6 will be the defaults
- For Step 7 choose datastore1-super8 as the Datastore and select thin
- Step 8 is the following:
- Review the configurations, then press Finish
Part 2:
- Steps 1 and 2 will be the defaults
- For Step 3, create a new SSO Domain with the following:
- Unjoin the customer expeience program on Step 4
- Review the configurations, then press Finish
When done installing, navigate to the vCenter server

Adding a Datastore

Adding a Host

Right-click on the datastore and click Add Host
- Enter the Hostname is super8.cyber.local
- Enter the username and password of the server
- Continue through the defaults until finished
