what are the advantages of using Git over Github desktop?
I think Git will be useful to use when I am working on the HPC
If I am just working on my laptop, I think using Github Desktop is just fine.
plans for capstone:
I am finishing up some analysis for a small project and will start writing the paper in the coming months -- my plan is to create a research object for the project and clean up the project in GitHub.
This week's Capstone Goal:
update data documentation
I pulled a lot of data off the internet at the start of this project, but some of it did not end up in the analysis and I added some new data later in the project, so my data documentation is out of date.
I also filled up our project dropbox, so I need to clear off files that are unused in the analysis.
