This guide outlines the steps for setting up Internal Testing on the Google Play Console. This testing track allows me/future developers to validate and test the Langroove app before releasing it to a wider audience, ensuring that it functions as expected and meets all requirements.
1. Access the Google Play Console
- Go to Google Play Console and log in with the
worksofabhiram
developer account. - From the dashboard, select All Apps, then click on Langroove to access the app’s settings and tracks.
2. Navigate to Testing Tracks
- In the side menu, go to Testing > Internal Testing.
- Click on Create New Release to set up an internal testing release.
3. Upload the AAB File for Internal Testing
- In the Create Release page, click Upload and select the
.aab
file you wish to test. For example, if testingLangroove_v1.0.0_build4.aab
:File: Langroove_v1.0.0_build4.aab Version Code: 4 Version Name: 1.0.0
- Once uploaded, verify that the version code and version name are correct.
4. Add Release Notes
Provide brief release notes to explain what’s included in this internal test build. For example:
- Initial internal testing release for Langroove.
- Includes core features such as text and voice messaging, real-time translation, and games.
5. Review and Save the Release
- Review the release to ensure everything is accurate.
- Click Save to prepare the release for testers.
6. Add Internal Testers
- In the Testers section, create a list of internal testers by entering their email addresses (must be associated with Google accounts).
- Invite testers by adding them to the Testing Group. These users will receive an email to download the internal test version of the app.
7. Publish the Internal Test Release
- Once all details are confirmed, click Review Release.
- Click Start Rollout to Internal Testing to make the build available for testers.
8. Test and Provide Feedback
You can now access the app through the Play Store using the provided link in invitation email. You can download the app, test it, and report any issues or feedback before a public release.
This internal testing setup allows me to catch and resolve any potential issues early, ensuring a smoother experience when the app goes live on the Play Store.
