1. Charge the battery on the DL-Axist. It will power on when there is sufficient charge.
2. Check the Datalogic SDK version in Device Info. If it is less than 1.8: a. Download and install Datalogic DXU on your Windows machine. b. Connect via USB cable. c. Use DXU to update the firmware to at least 2.01.55.20171112.
3. Connect Wifi.
4. Using the built-in browser, go to apkmirror.com. Install Chrome for Android 4.1+. We need at least version 63. Versions 75 and 80 are known to work.
5. Load the Client5 URL in Chrome.
6. Save a shortcut to the home page.
7. Enable soft spot scanning.
8. Settings | Scanner Settings | Formatting. Label prefix |. Label suffix [CR][LF]. Send code ID, DLM identifier before.
9. Settings | Scanner Settings | Enable keyboard wedge. Uncheck only on focus. Input mode Key Pressure.
10. In the 0 (zero) screen in ABC, select the DLM barcode type for the user number allocated for the device.
11. In Settings in Client5 on the device, select Pipe for the Barcode Prefix.

Troubleshooting, if Client5 doesn't load or login:

1. Uninstall and reinstall Chrome.
2. Clear the cache for Chrome.
