Introduction:

In Module1 _ICP4 we started to connect the circuit as it’s asked int the lesson plan. Then we designed an android application to control LED light on and off via smartphone using MIT innovatory website. Also, we had to connect the LED light to Arduino and run a sperate code for that.

Approaches/ Methods:

• First, we needed to build our app using MIT website • Second, we had to connect the LED light and the Bluetooth with Arduino. • Third, we created a connection via Bluetooth between the Arduino and the app on an android phone after we created the app and uploaded it and scanned its QR code . • We changed nothing on Arduino’s code for the LED and Bluetooth to work; except, we added a function at the beginning of the code.

Workflow:

First, we connected both the LED LIGHT and Bluetooth device to the circuit. Also, started to build our app using MIT website then we download it to one of our smartphones. We had some difficulty identify our Bluetooth to work and controlling led light, we had to disconnect the pin 0 and reconnected again to make it work, but we were missing library code also to make sure that we can run the app. Eventually, we were able to complete the task.

Circuit Diagram:

Parameters:

• First, build phone app using MIT website • Second, connect the LED light and the Bluetooth with Arduino using wires • Third, created a connection via Bluetooth between the Arduino. • Run the code to work as should.

Evaluation & Discussion:

Each step we followed worked as it should, but last the step was hard a little bit. We couldn’t connect an android smartphone with our Bluetooth device, we ran through deferent methods but none of them were working fine. Indeed, we could achieve our goals by switching with other group’s phone then we were able to control the light and turn it ON and OFF.

Conclusion:

We finally were able to do all parts on lesson4 (ICP4) as defining Bluetooth and LED light and make it blink and controlling it. Also, we learned how to design simple application for phone with MIT App website. The hardest part was connecting bluetooth with phone only. The most important thing in this lecture that we learned how to build a first android app and run it.
