... with annotations 💬

Annotations are a function that is available if several statements and descriptions are to be displayed and organised for a location / entry. Instead of making several entries for a location, any number of annotations can be added.

Possible application examples could be

  • Several memories and stories of a person about a place are to be distinguished from each other and organised. In this case, an annotation would be created for each memory or story.
  • There are statements and descriptions of several people about a place or event. In this case, an annotation would be created for each person and their statement about the place or event.

Of course, in the 2nd example, several annotations can also be created for the narrating persons. In the end, it is always a decision as to how much you want to tell about a place / entry on the map.

Annotations can be a good way to present different perspectives on and narratives of a place or event.

How can I add annotations to a place?

Annotations can be entered via the pop-up window of a place. A pop-up window is opened via the marker of a location. Clicking on it opens the editing window for the location / entry. Existing annotations are marked with a small quote symbol 💬 and can be edited with the edit pen. Further annotations can be added using the ‘+ Add another annotation’ button.

❗Are there already many entries on the map and you don't know exactly where the point you are looking for is on the map? Then it can be helpful to scroll through the entries using the view of all locations to find a specific location more quickly.
