Chocolate Wrapping Machine
Introduction
Products are not directly sold as they just finish the manufacturing. There are some process which are need to be done in a systematic manner. One of the main process is packaging. Every food item needs to be packaged after it is being ready! One such item is chocolate. As chocolate name makes us water mouthing, let us discuss how is it packaged. Chocolate wrapping machines are designed to wrap chocolate in a more efficient manner. Let us first discuss why there is a need of chocolate wrapping machine. Chocolate wrapping machine helps to wrap chocolates in more easy and swiftly. Chocolate wrapping machine produces chocolates packed in a attractive manner that makes more income and output. These machines also helps to reduce the manual work and maintains hygiene during packing. As wrapping is completely done by the machine it need to be regularly checked and should have low cost maintenance. Just look at some of wrapping machines pictures.
Principle Of Chocolate wrapping machine
The machine is designed to require little time of training and decrease the wrapping time of the bars. First the bar is loaded into position with the foil and paper beneath it. The worker then spins the bar into the machine where the foil will be wrapped. The worker manually inputs energy into the system which will begin folding the foil. After the foil wrapping is completed, a new bar is placed onto the loading point. As the recently wrapped bar is spin out of the machine, a gear will contact a gear track, causing the paper to be folded around the bar. The worker can then tape the paper and remove the fully wrapped bar.
Ways of Wrapping a chocolate
There are many different ways how to pack a chocolate. They are as follows
-
Banding
-
Sleeve Wrapping
-
Fold Wrapping
-
Twist Wrapping
-
Pleat Wrapping
-
Foil and band wrapping and many more..
Stages in Chocolate Wrapping Machine
· Single Stage Primary Wrapping It involves wrapping the chocolate in one or two packaging materials in one operation. Also, you can either use a fold wrapping machine or a horizontal flow wrapping machine.
· Two Stage Primary Wrapping The two stage primary wrapping involves the use of two packaging materials. Apart from that, you will pass the chocolate through two consecutive wrapping steps either as multipacks or mono packs. To achieve this, you can use a fold wrapping machine to wrap the chocolate.
· Secondary Wrapping Secondary wrapping is the wrapping of chocolate materials that already have a primary wrapper around them.
The main secondary wrapping materials that you can use include:
i. OPP or PP film wrapping material
ii. Cellophane wrapping materials
iii. Paper wrap or a cardboard label
In this case, you can either create a multipack or a mono pack.
The main machines in use are the fold wrapping machines and the horizontal flow wrapping machines.
· Tertiary Wrapping The wrapping process involves placing the wrapped chocolates in open or closed carton trays or display cartons In this case, you will use a cartoning machine.
· Final Wrapping This is the final stage of packaging before releasing the chocolate for dispatch to different locations. It involves the use of downstream equipment in the production chain such as shipping pallets or cartons.
3.How actually a Chocolate wrapping machine works? In a complete production line, different types of machines performs different functions.
__Step One: Preparing the Main Ingredients The main ingredients are the chocolate and the wrappers. In this case, the chocolate wrapping machine receives complete chocolate from the production line. At the same time, the chocolate wrappers are loaded on to wrapper hoppers. The machine should be proper working condition before switching it on.
Step Two: Wrapping the Chocolates There are different types of wrappers that you can use in the wrapping process. The wrapping process follows different wrapping stages. As chocolate reaches the wrapping stage, the machine automatically wraps it into a wrapper. The wrapper may be in the form of a foil, polythene, or a fold piece of paper.
Step Three: Cutting the Chocolates Wrappers After wrapping the chocolate, it moves it to the next stage where the machine will cut the wrappers to size according to size of chocolate and use the resource in an efficient manner and make a easy way. Meanwhile pointing that not much wrapper is wasted. After that it moves the wrapped chocolates on to the sealing stage.
Step Four: Sealing the Chocolate Wrappers At this point, the machine will automatically seal the loose ends of the chocolate wrappers. The sealing may be in form of laser heating, or the use of glue.Sealing is made such that not much heat makes damage of chocolate.
Step Five: Printing the Chocolate Wrappers The wrapping process comes to an end with the decoration of the wrappers. The printers make different impressions and designs on the wrappers. It also includes the manufacturing and expiry dates on the wrappers. More attractive designs make the customer to buy that chocolate .Designing people can make the wrapper so attractive and can also include cartooning to have an easy notice to the children.
Step Six: Packaging the Chocolate As soon as the wrapping is complete, it is important to inspect the integrity of the wrapper. The wrappers should have complete seals that are easy to open.
