VHD image support - ZuluSCSI/ZuluSCSI-firmware GitHub Wiki

As of ZuluSCSI firmware version 2025.12.18, ZuluSCSI supports the original Microsoft VHD v1 image file format, with some limitations.

All ZuluSCSI RP2040 (Compact, Pico/Pico Slim) and RP2350 (Blaster & Wide/Wide SCA) hardware models support the VHD format.

Due to hardware memory limitations, all ZuluSCSI V1.x hardware models do not currently support VHD image files.

Unsupported features

• Dynamically-expanding VHD images
• VHDX (Version 2) image files are currently not supported.
