Welcome to the PassKeeZ wiki!

PassKeeZ is an open-source passkey authenticator. It is used manage passkeys and create assertions (digital signatures) for authentication on the web. PassKeeZ stores all data in an encrypted database format.

When using KDBX: We currently advise against using an existing KDBX-database with PassKeeZ as we're still encountering bugs, i.e. keep you passwords and passkeys in separate databases (for now).

  • Please make sure you don't have a "Recycling Bin" Dir in your Database as this seems to cause issues! We will fix this as soon as possible. This is only relevant if you delete passkeys using KeePassXC (just delete the Dir manually).

Getting Started

The installation guide and the first steps section of the wiki get you started using PassKeeZ on your Linux computer.
