Dependency blues

There's a plethora dependency issues related to this stuff. Here are the versions of everything that I'm currently using with a working demo.

• node-gyp: v3.0.1 -> v3.0.3 did not seem to work

• nodejs: v4.1.2 -> any older version did not seem to work

• npm: v2.14.2 -> version 3.x did not seem to work

• nw-gyp: v0.12.4
