How do tasks work?
Tasks in the Palmon mod are designed so that only your Pokémon, depending on their type, have access to a list of specific tasks. It doesn't matter if the type is primary or secondary; the Pokémon can access tasks relevant to any of their types.
For example:
- Grass-type Pokémon can access tasks like Farming and Medicine.
- Rock-type Pokémon can access tasks like Guard and Mining.
Activating a Task
To activate a task, you need to give the Pokémon a specific item. By default, certain items are associated with each task, but these can be modified through the mod's configuration. If the items do not match, you should contact the server staff.
Cooldown and Task Efficiency
Tasks also have a cooldown period. For instance, with the Mining task, a Pokémon will not break all the blocks around it at once. Instead, after breaking a block, it will wait a few seconds before starting on the next one. This cooldown depends solely on the Pokémon's level: the higher the level, the faster the task will be performed.
Certain tasks also take the Pokémon's level into account for other checks, such as:
- The speed at which a block is broken.
- The amount of health restored when healing a Pokémon.
Item Collection
Depending on the task assigned, Pokémon can collect items from the ground and store them in their inventory. This allows for efficient resource gathering and management based on the tasks they are performing.
