Summary
In this lab, I learned how to find out certain things about a wireless network in Windows.
New things I learned
- In this lab, I learned about different aspects of my wireless network and my Wireless card in my laptop.
- I learned things such as the MAC address of my default gateway, the authentication type of the network I am connected to, and the 802.11 version of my wireless card.
- I also found out about the receive and transmit rates of my wireless card.
Problems/Issues
- For this lab, I didn’t run into any problems. It was a straightforward lab, and I had no issues. There was no troubleshooting necessary.

- For this lab, there was a command that I used that I found very useful. The command that I used was
Netsh WLAN show interfaces
- That command displays the following for the wireless interface:
- Name
- Description
- GUID
- Physical Address
- State
- SSID
- BSSID
- Network Type
- Radio Type
- Authentication
- Cypher
- Connection Mode
- Channel
- Receive Rate
- Transmit Rate
- Signal
- Profile
