The zoo cart is a utility vehicle.

When placed by the player, the zoo cart can be ridden with a right click. It is approximately as fast as the fastest horse mobs, and can drive up 1-block slopes.

Zoo carts can also be used for storage and item transportation. When shift-right clicked, they have a 48-item (double chest) inventory. This can allow players to move large quantities of food, building blocks, or animal nets across a map or a large zoo build with ease.

It can be traded from zookeeper NPCs as well as crafted, though is rather expensive. A default zoo cart can be crafted with 1x Banner, 2x Block of Iron, 1x Minecart with Chest, 2x Black Concrete, and 1x Block of Redstone. A colored zoo cart can be crafted with 1x Zoo Cart, and 1x Dye.

Like with animal species variants, players can pick what color of zoo cart they would like by holding down shift and right-clicking until the color they would like shows up. Zoo carts match zookeeper uniforms.

• The default zoo cart is green and yellow with a "ZOO" flag.
• The black zoo cart is black, orange, yellow and blue with a sulfur-crested cockatoo logo.
• The gray zoo cart is gray and blue with a horizontal stripe detail and a wolf logo.
• The light gray zoo cart is light gray, blue and white, with a lemur logo and "lemur tail" pattern down the side.
• The white zoo cart is white, orange, red and yellow with a toucan logo.
• The red zoo cart is red with a "parrot feather" pattern detail and a scarlet macaw logo.
• The orange zoo cart is orange and white with a black tiger stripe pattern.
• The yellow zoo cart is pale yellow with a woven fabric pattern detail and a lion theme.
• The lime zoo cart is light green with a "pool tile" tropical pattern and a sea turtle flag.
• The green zoo cart is earthy dark green with green and yellow details.
• The cyan zoo cart is a dark teal with orange and white stripes, and an eagle theme.
• The blue zoo cart is dark blue with green and pin stripes, with a hibiscus flower logo.
• The light blue zoo cart is light teal and blue with yellow and white "life preserver" stripes, with a dolphin logo.
• The purple zoo cart is dark purple with white and pink stripes. It has a pink and white panda logo.
• The magenta zoo cart is light pink with blue, pink and white stripes. It has a white unicorn logo.
• The brown zoo cart is dark brown, yellow and blue with a bear logo.
