Signs and paintings - ZAWA-Evolved/ZAWA GitHub Wiki

While these blocks have been revealed, they haven't been added in-game yet. Hang tight, they're coming!

ZAWA: Evolved adds several types of signs, sign boards, and paintings.

Most signs work similarly to vanilla paintings. Once placed, they can be shift-right clicked by the player. This opens a GUI where specific designs of each sign can be picked.

Several signs are contributed by non-team artists. Their names and contributions can be found on the credits page.

Animal portrait

Animal potraits are 1x1 signs that display a detailed photo of an animal. Portraits exist for most ZAWA animals and species variants, as well as some farm animals and ancestor species.

One animal portrait can be crafted with 1x Lime Dye and 8x Black Bamboo.

Map

Maps are 2x1 signs that show a shaded or highlighted area of the world. They are good for displaying animal habitats on exhibit sign boards.

One map can be crafted with 1x Green Dye and 8x Black Bamboo.

Educational sign

Educational signs are large, usually 3x3 (but sometimes larger) sign boards. They generally center around one specific animal, biome, location or conservation issue. Some signs are one of two or three parts, meant to make up a large display.

One educational sign can be crafted with 1x Paper and 8x Black Bamboo.

Zoo sign

Zoo signs are diverse, versatile sign boards that label or direct guests towards zoo amenities, list rules and regulations, or help to make exhibits more realistic. They range in size from 1x1 to 6x10.

One zoo sign can be crafted with 1x Cyan Dye and 8x Black Bamboo.
