Game Workflow
Intro
When the player starts playing, the first thing that appears is a screen with the "Super Smash TV" logo, a little lower is the year of publication and the company that published the game. The game developer studio "Beam Software PTY LTD" also appears. Lastly, we have the copyright text.
After this image, two screens appear with a small animation in which the two logos of the developer companies appear.
Then, we again have a screen with a small animation that, when finished, shows the game logo again and the two protagonists in the background.
Just after this image, the player can read the story of the game and put himself in context. After this, can see the screen of the highest scores which we must try to beat.

Main Menu
If we advance to another screen, the main menu finally shows up. The player has three options: "ONE PLAYER", "TWO PLAYERS" and "SKILL". The first two refer to the number of players who are going to play and the last option is about the difficulty we want to play: "EASY", "NORMAL" or "HARD".
In Game
If we choose any of the first two options above, the game will start. They present us with a large stage full of spectators with a presenter in the center, while the player leaves from the left corner (if there were two players, a player would come out of each corner).
The player will advance until passing through the door on the right of the presenter and will reach the first room, where the player will take control and must kill all the enemies that come out of the doors.
When the player passes the first room of the level, the map of the different rooms appears to help the player know where to go. Indicating the place from which we have left: "STUDIO", and to which we must arrive: "MUTOID MAN".
Eventually, we can access a special room on each level, which will give us much more score than in the others.
If we manage to kill the final boss of the level, the player will return to the stage and be taken to the next room of the new level, with the same animation as the first, but the background will change.
Game Over
If the player loses the five lives he has, the following screen will appear with the option to continue and the available credits, we have 9 seconds to choose what to do, if we still have credits and we give him to continue, the player will appear in the room where he died with the five lives and a credit will be subtracted. But if we do not have credits we will go to the "GAME OVER" screen.
After this, the game will restart after showing the highscores by the video game logo screen again.
Level / Game Completed
When we pass a level or the entire game, this screen appears where it shows us the amount of score that we have accumulated.
In the case that we have completed the game, the next screen will be the credits where they will explain the end of the story of our character.
Finally, a "GAME OVER" screen will appear and then we will be allowed to choose a name to rank among the highest scores.
HUD Analysis
- Orange color: life points, quantity of times that the player 1 can die.
- Green color: player 1 current points. Those are restarted when you lose all life points.
- Red color: life points, quantity of times that the player 2 can die.
- Yellow color: player 2 current points. Those are restarted when you lose all life points.
In the case that two players are playing, there will be two different "CONTINUE?" for each one, but credits will be the same for both.
When we get a power-up, the square where the lives are indicated changes to show the active power-up until it is finished.
