Setting up Drip Feeding

Drip Feeding is useful if you want to deliver your content over time to your users. It means that you don’t necessarily have to churn out content on a daily or weekly basis. Instead, as each user subscribes the feed is put into motion, giving them content in a time-frame which you set.

Here's a typical scenario:

A user purchases a subscription with an associated Your Members account type. Content that is protected by the drip feed feature will not be available until x of days after he made the purchase. So, if he purchased his subscription on Monday, he might receive his first post right away, but the second one won't come until Wednesday, and the third one, a video, will arrive next Wednesday.

Locate the edit window for the particular page or post you'd like to protect using the drip feed feature. Then, locate the YM box where you'll find an additional dropdown area called "Post Delay". Click the show/hide option here to reveal the post delay settings.

Once there, you can select the number of days you wish to delay the content for each account type. Simply save your changes, and you're done.

Want to create an entire series? Just keep repeating this process on multiple posts, making sure the next post in the series is delayed for a specific period after the last. (Post #1 = 7 days, Post #2 = 14 days, Post #3 = 21 days, etc.)
