I'm still not sure what I would like to do as a project. However, I would like to do something that includes large-scale data processing (Machine Learning on large data sets sounds fun). Some RCOS projects that seem to fit to this idea are MxM (Music Ex Machina) and SecondString, which scrapes websites for data to predict winners and metrics for sports teams, like those in the NFL.

I do know that I would like to utilize a similar idea of scraping other websites for contemporary data. I would like to create something that can be accessed on mobile, and provides some sort of data that can be used for everyday life. Some examples of this would be a weather map, similar to those provided by a weather report on the news, or a public wifi locator like Boingo, or traffic heat maps like those on Google Maps or Waze. Ideally, this project would be able to help bring some sort of info that people might want to know for the day.
