How to use Trailers with MovieJukebox

Automatic Trailer Downloading / Streaming

MovieJukebox has the ability to automatically download or link to Apple.com/trailers for movie trailers. However, due to some restrictions on Apple.com trailers are not always linked to or downloaded correctly.

Settings

In the moviejukebox.properties file, enable and set the following parameters:

appletrailers.resolution=1080p/720p/480p/640
appletrailers.download=false/true

The first parameter controls the quality of the trailer. If there is no trailer at that quality, the next quality is tried. The second parameter controls the linking (false) or downloading (true) of the trailers.

Trailers Naming

If you download your own trailers you must name them so that YAMJ can pick them up. Trailers must contain the word Trailer, case-insensitive, somewhere between square brackets [] Trailers will only show up in the new Trailers category. In order to avoid confusion with actual movies, they will not show up under any other genre, or in any alpha-listing.
