  1. Introduction A basketball game zone is a recreational area where people can play basketball for entertainment and improve their shooting skills. In our Engineering Exploration project, we are developing a Basketball Shooting Arm Robot that can pick up a basketball and shoot it towards the basket using servo motors and DC motors
  2. Gathering Information The basketball game zone is designed to provide an enjoyable and interactive gaming experience for users. In a traditional basketball game, players manually handle the ball and shoot it into the basket. However, in our project, we aim to develop a simple working model of a robotic basketball shooting mechanism.

The proposed system consists of a robotic arm, a ball-gripping mechanism, servo motors, DC motors, wheels, a basketball hoop, and an Arduino control unit. The servo motors control the movement of the robotic arm and the ball-gripping mechanism, while the DC motors help move the robot on wheels.

The robot picks up the basketball, positions its arm at the required angle, and releases or launches the ball towards the basket. The Arduino controller coordinates the movements of the motors. This project demonstrates the application of robotics, automation, mechanical design, and basic programming in a game zone.

The main objective is to develop a low-cost, safe, and easy-to-operate basketball shooting robot that can provide entertainment and demonstrate engineering principles. 3.User Requirements The robot should be easy to operate. It should pick up and hold the ball securely. It should aim towards the basketball hoop. It should shoot the ball with reasonable accuracy. It should be affordable and easy to maintain. It should operate safely in the game zone. 4. Problems Identified 1.Manual basketball shooting requires player skill. 2.Repeated ball handling can take time. Shooting accuracy may vary. 3.A robotic arm requires proper angle and movement control. 4.The robot needs a stable base to prevent tipping. 5.The system must use an appropriate motor speed and shooting force 5.Proposed Solution The proposed solution is to build a servo-and-DC-motor-based basketball shooting arm robot. The robotic arm will grip the ball, move to the selected shooting position, and launch the ball towards the hoop. An Arduino controller will manage the motors and coordinate the sequence of movements. 6 Expected Outcome The final working model is expected to demonstrate automated ball handling, controlled arm movement, and basketball shooting. It will help students understand the practical applications of robotics, electronics, programming, and mechanical engineering in an interactive game zone
