Runtime Context - Xyna-Factory/xyna GitHub Wiki

The Runtime Context describes a set of XMOM Objects as part of an XMOM. There are two types of Runtime Contexts:

Workspaces
are used at development time to create, model and test new XMOM Objects. Later these Workspaces are used to build Applications (see below).
Applications
are kind of a release version of a specific Workspace. To create an Application, an Application Definition has to be created. An Application Definition is part of a Workspace and defines, what elements of this Workspace, e.g. XMOM Objects or Order Types, will be combined into one Application. Application Definitions can be defined and Applications can be built in the Workspaces and Applications sections inside the Xyna Factory Manager.
Most of the time a certain XMOM is identified with its Runtime Context. But beside the XMOM Objects themelf a Runtime Context contains additional data corresponding to the included XMOM Objects, e.g. Order Types corresponding to Workflows.

Runtime Contexts can use other Runtime Contexts to build up a chain of separate modules. These used Runtime Contexts are called Requirements or required Runtime Contexts. Typically a Runtime Context requires the Standard Applications Base and Processing.
