Xieon's Gaming Corner: Onboarding Guide

If at any point you encounter any difficulties, or have any questions/problems with the XGC Ecosystem, including discord - please reach out to our staff, and we'll be happy to assist you. You can always open a #🆘➖support-ticket-booth ticket to get the fastest response from a staff member.

Finish Onboarding:

The id:customize & id:browse are available to people who didn't finish the onboarding when joining, or to change the answer to their original questions, or answer new questions/select new channels & roles that have changed since after you joined. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you answer all of these questions. Many users miss out on a lot of what XGC has to offer because they simply never see those channels, or knew those services existed.

Show All Channels

  • When on PC Discord - Go to the server drop down from the top left of the Discord -
  • If on mobile you can use a browser which is needed to access/use some features such as server subscriptions since not all server features are available on mobile - then follow the pictures above.
  • Regardless the platform while the steps differ the results are the same.

Toggling Show All Channels

  • Toggling Show All Channels on/off toggles the visible channels from ALL CHANNELS YOU'V CHOOSEN TO SEE and ALL THE CHANNELS YOU CAN SEE
    • You can turn off viewing channels on your sidebar that you are not interested in - but that doesn't mean you lose access to the channel.
  • You can still access channels that you've turned visibility off on, however, if you don't have the permissions you cannot - The onboarding questions from id:customize is what gives you the POSSIBILITY to see a channel. You can then adjust what channels are/are not visible by toggling visibility in id:browse
  • Toggling Show All Channels allows you to switch between all the channels you have access to, and a customized list of the channels you have access to -

Role Specific Channels:

  • Many channels require being assigned them during the onboarding process either directly, or via assigning you a role. Please finish the onboarding questions if you haven't already. They can be found in id:customize

Example(s):

In the id:browse id:customize there the obnoarding questions. These questions should be answered when initially joining the server, and if there are any changes after you join such as new questions, new answers, or new channels a new icon will appear beside the channels at the top of the channel list on the Discord left hand side.

Toggling on the Crypto onboarding question gives the role of meowth and the ability to see the crypto category and channels. This will make all the channels visible by default. Afterwards you can go over to id:browse and manually chosoe what crypto channels you want to see, and which ones you don't - however you cannot do this without the meowth role, which can only be obtained by answering the onboarding questions

Discord Support Tickets

The quickest way to get in contact with a member of the XGC Staff is by submitting a Discord Support Ticket - From the Ticket Booth in Discord

How the XGC Ticketing System Works:

  1. Go to the Ticket Booth in the XGC Server -> Located Here
  2. Select the appropiate category of ticket for your needs - if you are unsure of what ticket option to select, they will all essentially do the same thing, however, ones for prize claiming for example are a bit more streamlined since we know its a user claiming a prize.

What Ticket to Use:

Prize Claiming

Staff Issues / Server Issues / Support Needed that isn't Prize/Bot Related

REQUESTING RAIDS:

You can obviously still have normal conversations in DM's with whoever, as long as they don't mind - but once the topic switches to server issues we need you to open a ticket and not discuss it - Please use server pings before DM's if trying to reach staff - See below for identifying staff https://discord.com/channels/829181609156411463/1155134797002330223/1192495498247024731

Identifying XGC Staff:

  • Alternatively to tickets you can always talk to the staff in any of our channels, they are people - if you'd like to know who staff an who isn't staff typically all have 🌟⭐ of some kind or 📛 at the begining of their nickname - the end of their nickname is usually [ ] or { } with their title. @xieon3152 for example
  • Shades of Green, Red, and Blue are used by the staff -
  • Please do not bother staff or owners of other servers about things in this server, although some of them have the ban hammer just in case you do
  • DM's and Ping rules are set by each staff member for themselves - you can ping or DM me - however anything that is server related cannot be discussed in a DM - you have to open a ticket

XGC Verified Bots

  • Xieon's Gaming Corner is heavily influenced by the programming, development, and use, of various different bots for different purposes.
