Session Heat

Session Heat is a dynamic value that influences the chance of triggering a Docks Raid. It starts at 0 when a save is loaded and is affected by the Private Investigator's actions.

How Session Heat Changes:

  • +6-8 when the Private Investigator concludes an investigation and you are still in Warehouse and you've been seen enough times
  • +1-3 when the Private Investigator concludes an investigation and you've been seen frequently and stayed long inside the Warehouse even if you're not currently in the Warehouse.
  • -1-3 when the investigation ends and none of the above occured

Private Investigator uses these metrics to evaluate the Session Heat after investigation concludes

  • Times seen during the investigation
  • Time spent near the Investigator
  • Time spent in the Docks Warehouse

Visual Indicator:

  • Private Investigator’s eyes glow Yellow when Session Heat is around halfway to a Docks Raid threshold
  • Eyes glow Red when close to the raid threshold

Trigger Conditions:

  • When Session Heat exceeds 20, and the player is in the Docks Warehouse, this will trigger a Docks Raid.
  • When Player tries to exit the Docks Warehouse through the gates, this will immeaditly roll the cinematic and start the event

Docks Raid Event:

  1. First the screen will show a red warning
  2. You gain an Investigated status
  3. Police car is dispatched to the Warehouse
  4. Cinematic view of the police arriving will play and the event begins
  5. You will be teleported after the Cinematic event to the Default Spawn point in Warehouse

During the Event:

  1. 2 Cops will spawn in the warehouse next to Pots and they will begin destroying them.
  2. 4 Armed Cops will spawn in the warehouse and will shoot you if you try to stop them
  3. You must kill the cops to stop them from doing this.
  4. Each Cop can destroy at maximum 6 pots.
  5. Cops will despawn automatically if dead, knocked out, reached maximum pots or time out of 40 seconds.
