Input type='text'

Required (mandatory)

Simply add the "required" parameter to the input tag to make a text input field mandatory:

<input class="input__element" type="text" size="30" xmp-write-ador="xmp.r['firstname']" required />

.input__element:required:invalid {
  border: 1px solid red;
}

.input__element:required:valid {
  border: 1px solid green;
}
