New Enchantment Types - Wyvernity/Enchantment-Plus GitHub Wiki

The vanilla game features 2 types of enchantments which are normal and curse enchantments.
This data pack adds 2 more new types of enchantments; masterwork and sacrificial.

Masterwork Enchantments

These are enchantments that give strong unique effects and can be considered overpowered by some people.
The only way of obtaining them is by spending 3 levels to enchant an item in the enchanting table.
Very rarely, the player will be rewarded with an enchanted book that has one of these enchantments.
Their names are in gold color.

The chance of obtaining masterwork enchantments is affected by how many times the player has enchanted an item in the enchanting table;

Times Enchanted Chance
0-100 1%
101-200 2%
201-300 3%
301+ 4%

[!TIP] You can check how many times you have enchanted an item in the statistics menu.

[!NOTE] All masterwork enchantments have the same chance of appearing as the reward book.
If the enchantment has multiple levels, the chance is distributed gradually between levels, highest level being the lowest chance.

Sacrificial Enchantments

These are enchantments that grant strong positive effects along with strong negative effects as a downside.
Similar to curses, they cannot be removed from an item once they are applied.
They can be found in loot chests and librarian villager trades.
Their names are in purple color.
