Mobile App instead of Web app - WitsUpWesley/WitsUp GitHub Wiki
A Native/mobile App is an app developed essentially for one particular mobile device and is installed directly onto the device itself where as a Web App is an internet-enabled app that is accessible via the mobile device’s web browser. We chose to do a mobile app instead of a web app. We made this decision as we wanted the app to be stored locally on a device as opposed to having to access it through a browser. Data will also be saved as images such as the view of the app will not have to be downloaded each time the app is run as it is stored locally on the device. Android Studio provides many tools to improve the mobile apps UI which makes it easier to create a well designed and simple UI for the user to use.
