Setup Guide - Wimberton/OriginPalia GitHub Wiki

Welcome! This guide will walk you through setting up the loader, preventing antivirus interference, and solving common issues. Please follow each step carefully.

✅ Step 1: Disable Antivirus Software

Antivirus programs, including Windows Defender and third-party tools, may mistakenly flag the loader. This is a false positive. The loader is 100% safe.

Disabling Windows Defender:

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection.
  3. Under Virus & Threat Protection Settings, click Manage Settings.
  4. Toggle off Real-Time Protection. Confirm if prompted.
  5. Under Exclusions, click Add or Remove Exclusions and add the folder where the loader will be placed.

Disabling Third-Party Antivirus:

  1. Open your antivirus program (e.g., Norton, Avast, McAfee).
  2. Find settings like Real-Time Scanning or Active Protection.
  3. Temporarily disable it and add an exclusion for the loader’s folder.
  4. Save and exit the antivirus software.

Important: Once the loader is successfully set up, you can re-enable your antivirus to stay protected.

📥 Step 2: Download the Loader File

  1. Go to the Downloads page using the official link on the website.
  2. Find the correct loader file for your game.
  3. Click the Download button.

⚠️ If your browser shows a warning about executable files, click Keep or Download Anyway.
Only download from official sources to stay safe.

📂 Step 3: Extract and Organize the Loader

  1. Locate your download (usually in the Downloads folder).
  2. Right-click the file and choose Extract All, or use tools like WinRAR or 7-Zip.
  3. Create a new folder (e.g., C:\GameLoader).
  4. Move the extracted loader and any other files into this folder.

Keeping the loader in its own folder and creating an antivirus exclusion helps avoid confusion or deletion.

▶️ Step 4: Run the Loader and Launch Your Game

Launch Your Game:

  1. Start the game as you normally would.

Run the Loader:

  1. Open the folder you created earlier.
  2. Double-click the loader .exe file.
  3. Allow any prompts (Windows may ask for confirmation).
  4. The loader will start — wait a few seconds for the main interface.
