I understand that the utility of the threads icon being in the header beside the search icon was to notify users of new threads as they appear. My suggestion: We can use this search button itself for notifying about any new messages. the only disadvantage of this I can see is that it might feel a little weird for the new users to see a red alert on the search icon.

After a little discussion we've come to a conclusion that threads are important for the users and cannot be kept behind clicks. So we need to put a threads icon beside the search icon in the header. But I'm not sure if search and threads have equal priority that we're keeping them side by side. I think it might lead to some confusion and we may think on these line a bit more.

When I use threads as a user, I don't think it's important for me to know who participated in the thread but what the discussion was about, latest message time maybe, the number of messages, and what conclusion it gave, knowing these facts are more important.
