Bop - WhirligigGirl/Alternis-Kerbol-Rekerjiggered GitHub Wiki
A worthless lump of unusually-dense rock in a surprisingly stable orbit. Despite the apparent instability, its orbit never seems to change very much at all. This merits further investigation... Maybe something very strange is going on here.
Bop is the smallest celestial body in the Alternis Kerbolar System. It's also the only subsatellite, a moon of the Joolian moon Kerbin. It is a small brown-grey rock in a medium orbit around Kerbin. Rendezvous with it is more like rendezvous with a spacecraft than a moon.

Bop is a decent source for early game science, but ore can not be found anywhere on its surface. Its complete deprivation of the raw propellant resource makes it worthless as a refueling outpost, as it's easier to rendezvous with a fueling station in freefall orbit than on the surface of Bop. Pol and Minmus, however, have normal amounts of ore.
Its orbit, when implemented in an N-Body Simulation such as the Principia mod, is completely stable, to the surprise of its creators. However, the rest of the Jool system is unstable in N-body and requires adjustments to the orbits.
