Asteroids at the Stock KSP Wiki
Alternis Kerbol Rekerjiggered presents the user with several different places to find movable asteroids. To be clear, these are not true celestial bodies, they are the "vessel" asteroids which spawn that can be moved with spacecrafts and grabbed with the Advanced Grabbing Unit.

The locations to find them:
Inner Moonlets
Jool has a sort of an incredibly diffuse ring system, a set of boulders (or "moonlets") orbiting around Jool between its atmosphere and Minmus. These objects, called "Inner Moonlets" or "Minmoids," are extremely rare. However they are essentially the same as any other kind of asteroid so you don't get anything special for finding one.
Trojans and Greeks
Jool has swept the inner solar system clear of most debris, by ejecting them into the outer solar system, capturing them into orbit for a while, or in some cases, capturing them into Jool's fourth and fifth lagrangian points. These asteroids can be found 60 degrees ahead of and behind Jool's orbit, and they all have exactly the same orbital period as Jool. Voyaging out to find one, therefore, can not be done by waiting for one to flyby Jool nor can it be done by a standard hohmann transfer.
The Main Belt
The Alternis System's main asteroid belt is a region of leftovers from Jool's formation in between Tylo and Eeloo. They can have eccentric, inclined, and distant orbits. They are the most diverse orbit group of asteroids in the system.
Orbiting alongside every planet
Just as with the stock system, if you use the B612 pack's telescope you can spawn asteroids around the orbit of any planet directly above the one you're orbiting. Annoyingly regardless of whether or not it makes sense to have asteroids there...
