π₯ Clan System - WestoniaSMP/Westonia GitHub Wiki
Clans are an important organizational structure in Westonia, enabling players to join forces and jointly control, expand and defend territories. Each clan member has different roles and rights that enrich the gameplay.
Players can create a Clan by using the following command:
/clan create <Clanname> <Clan Tag>
- Clanname: Must be between 3 and 10 characters long. Each character can be colored individually, or the entire name can have a gradient effect.
- Clan Tag: Must be between 1 and 3 characters long. Like the name, each character can be individually colored, or a gradient effect can apply to the entire tag.
Players can also create a Clan through the Player Menu.
After successfully creating a Clan, the Clan owner receives a Claim Monolith, a special block used to claim chunks of land (16x16x320 blocks).
Players can delete a Clan with the following command:
/clan delete <Clanname>
Upon entering the delete command, a confirmation dialog in the form of an inventory GUI will appear. Players must confirm their decision. Clan deletion is also possible via the Player Menu.
Players can invite others to their Clan with the following command:
/clan invite <PlayerName>
Alternatively, invitations can be sent through the Player Menu.
Clans consist of multiple ranks, each with different permissions and responsibilities:
- Clan Lord: The only member with the ability to delete the Clan.
- Vice Lord: Closely trusted member who has all rights except for deleting the clan
- Zone Master: Responsible for expanding and managing the Clanβs territory.
- Treasurer: Manages the Clan's bank and is in charge of economic activities, such as building shops or purchasing from other players.
- Member Manager: Can invite, manage, and remove Clan members.
- Companion: Regular Clan members who can build in Clan territory, contribute to the Clanβs bank, and participate in wars.
Clan ranks can be adjusted using the following commands (or via the Player Menu):
-
Promote:
/clan promote <Player> <Rank>
-
Demote:
/clan demote <Player> <Rank>
Clans can claim territories by placing the Claim Monolith received during Clan creation. The placement must be at least 5 chunks away from the nearest claimed land.
- By default, the chunk where the Claim Monolith is placed, along with 3 additional chunks in a square formation, will be claimed.
- As a Clan grows, it earns territory points, which can be spent to claim additional chunks.
Chunks can be claimed by standing in the desired chunk with the Territory Point item.
Unclaiming chunks can be done via the following methods:
- Unclaim (Player Menu): Players can unclaim chunks using the Player Menu.
-
Unclaim (Command):
/clan unclaim <Last/Nr>
Each chunk has an initial base cost and weekly protection cost. As a Clan expands and claims more chunks, both the base price and the weekly protection costs increase progressively. The growth is determined by an increasing percentage for both types of costs.
-
Base Cost Formula:
$\text{Base Cost for Chunk N} = 10000 \times \left(1 + \left(0.1 + 0.01 \times (N - 1)\right)\right)^{(N-1)}$ The base cost starts at 10,000 Coins (example) for the first chunk and increases by a progressively larger percentage with each additional chunk.
-
Weekly Protection Cost Formula:
$\text{Protection Cost for Chunk N} = 250 \times \left(1 + \left(0.12 + 0.02 \times (N - 1)\right)\right)^{(N-1)}$ The weekly protection cost starts at 250 Coins (example) for the first chunk and increases by a progressively larger percentage for each additional chunk.
-
1st Chunk:
- Base Cost: 10,000 Coins
- Weekly Protection Cost: 250 Coins
-
2nd Chunk:
- Base Cost: 11,100 Coins
- Weekly Protection Cost: 285 Coins
-
3rd Chunk:
- Base Cost: 12,769 Coins
- Weekly Protection Cost: 336 Coins
-
4th Chunk:
- Base Cost: 14,815 Coins
- Weekly Protection Cost: 407 Coins
-
5th Chunk:
- Base Cost: 17,557 Coins
- Weekly Protection Cost: 510 Coins
- 1-2 Players: 4 chunks (2x2) (+4 additional chunks)
- 3-6 Players: 16 chunks (4x4) (+12 additional chunks)
- 7-12 Players: 32 chunks (6x6) (+16 additional chunks)
- 13-20 Players: 64 chunks (8x8) (+32 additional chunks)
- 30+ Players: 100 chunks (10x10) (+36 additional chunks)
Territory points and chunk limits grow proportionally with the number of Clan members.
Clan members can deposit and withdraw resources from the Clan Bank to fund various activities, such as territory expansion, shop building, or general Clan expenses.
-
Deposit:
/clan deposit <Amount>
-
Withdraw:
/clan withdraw <Amount>
These actions can also be managed through the Player Menu.
Clan leaders or authorized members can remove players from the Clan using the following command:
-
Kick:
/clan kick <Player>
Alternatively, this can also be done through the Player Menu.
To send messages exclusively within the Clan, players can use the Clan Chat by prefixing their message with #_
.
The underscore _

:)
Clans have the ability to form alliances with other Clans. This allows them to work together to achieve common goals or defend each other from enemies.
- Alliances can be formed with the command:
/clan ally <Clanname>
or through the Player Menu. - Both Clans must agree to the alliance for it to be formalized.
- Shared Territory: Allied Clans can build within each other's territories if permitted.
-
Shared Chat: A special Alliance Chat can be accessed by prefixing messages with

.- The underscore

- The underscore
- War Support: Allied Clans can join each other in wars to provide support and share resources.
- Alliances can be dissolved using the command:
/clan breakally <Clanname>
. There may be a cooldown to prevent frequent alliance switching.
Clans can declare war on other Clans to capture territory, steal resources, or settle disputes.
- Wars are initiated with the command:
/clan declarewar <Clanname>
. There is a 24-hour preparation period before the war begins, allowing both Clans time to prepare.
- Territory Capture: Clans can attempt to claim chunks of enemy land by conquering certain key points, such as War Monoliths placed within the opposing Clanβs territory.
- Plundering: Attacking Clans can steal up to 3 item slots from chests located in enemy territory. Chests with locks will need to be unlocked first (see below).
- Wallbombs are special TNT blocks with reduced explosive power. They are used to breach defensive walls during wars.
- Damage: Wallbombs deal minor damage to structures, creating small gaps in walls but not destroying large buildings.
- Usage: Wallbombs must be placed directly on or near walls and have a 10-second fuse, giving defenders time to react.
- Limitations: Each Clan has a limited number of Wallbombs they can use during a war, balancing the destruction.
- Players from the attacking Clan can steal up to 3 item slots from enemy chests during a war.
- Cooldown: There is a 30-second cooldown per player between plundering actions to prevent excessive looting.
- Defenders can lock their chests using locks that attackers must break to access the items inside.
- Lock-Breaking Mechanic: Attackers need to use a lockpick to unlock these chests. Lockpicks have limited uses and can be obtained from a Clan vendor or crafted.
- Minigame: Unlocking a chest involves a brief minigame where players must solve a puzzle or match combinations within a set time (15 seconds?).
- Alarm: Attempting to break a lock sends an alert to defending players, allowing them to respond.
- Alarm Systems: If a player attempts to loot, break a lock, open a door, ..., an alarm will notify the defenders, showing which chest is under attack.
