The intent of this page is to do the following:
- give guidance to anyone creating or using graphics
- provide a repository for commonly used graphics files
- provide tools and instructions to assist anyone in making basic, commonly used, but professional looking graphics
Graphics sizing / resolution standards
"images" may be needed for one or more of the following categories / applications: web site, facebook, instagram, print media (posters, mailings, brochures, ...), signage, CG for Sunday worship (including podcast posting)
For each sermon series
we need the following (image / file attributes in italics are desirable, but not required):
- for the web site ...
slides
on home page (or any "top graphic" for a happening now post/page) - 1920x974, _minimize "text", avoid putting key elements re: the graphic example shown here:happening now
post - 353x239, _minimize "text", avoid putting key elements on bottom 60 pixels of graphic, as shown here:invite
page - 1920x1080 downloadable image ... should be something that an individual can post, share, print, email (Eric, this needs some review / discussion ... I'm not sure what the intent is ... when I look at what Piedmont Chapel had done it looks like they did 1200x1200 instagram-like, very simple graphics)- if any video is to be embedded, it can't be any larger than 300MB, in MP4 format (and WebM), and should have a 1920x1080 still to accompany it.
- CG for Sunday worship (including podcast posting)
- 1920x720 main title graphic
- 1920x720 message / content graphic (essentially similar color scheme, but ideally allowing for maximum contrast / readability ... ie to allow for black or white text to be displayed "on top" of this graphic ... white text is our preference)
- 1024x1024
