How to Import Wordpress Content

WeBlog 2.0 allows you to import a Wordpress Export XML file. By using in to the Sitecore desktop mode you can start the import wizard.

You can find the wizard from the Sitecore menu > Control Panel > Database > Import Wordpress Blog

After the first screen you will be asked to enter a name and email address. This email address is used to receive notifications of new comments.

When you upload your xml file you have a few options. You can choose if you want to include posts, comments, categories and tags.

After you configured the import, you will be asked where you want to create the blog. The blog will be created underneath the item you select.

When you click Next you will get a summary of your settings. If you wish to change something now is the time. Otherwise you can click Start Import and the import will start.
