Preparation
Updating Local Software
To work with the secondary dates review quick fixes, first verify your software and HSG project settings are up-to-date.
- In oXygenXML, use the External Tools dropdown menu (i.e., the green triangle icon on the toolbar) to select
Generate troubleshooting report
[Also available via the oXygen menu bar:Tools

- In the report, find "Versions of installed apps" near the end of the build report. Compare your local versions to the most current version of GitHub Desktop and oXygenXML.
- As of April 17, 2018, the current software versions are:

- In GitHub, navigate to
hsg-project
as current repository and fetch any updates from origin.
- If you had oXygenXML open, please quit the program and then restart it to make sure any project changes took.
Configuring Validation Scenarios
To work with the secondary dates review quick fixes, first verify your validation scenario is properly configured to accept both the frus.sch and dates-secondary-review.sch files.
- In oXygenXML, move to the lefthand project pane, right click on `hsg-project/repos/frus/volumes"
- Select
Validate
- Select
Configure Validation Scenario(s)...
- Under
Project
, selectFRUS TEI + Secondary Review of Dates
- Select one, more than one, or all FRUS volumes to validate
- Right-click and select
Validate
>Validate with Schema
- Choose
file:/.../repos/frus/schema/dates-only-secondary-review.sch
- When you click on an error message in the batch validation screen, the file for the parent volume should open. You should see blue tick marks on the right to indicate information messages triggered by particular sections of the XML.
(Please note: Upon human review, not all messages will be actionable. For this reason, the alerts are categorized as informational messages and not warnings.)
Now, you are ready to perform secondary review of dates within your chosen set of FRUS volumes.
