Lesson 9 - Water-Monitor/IoT-Portfolio-FJS GitHub Wiki

Presentation day!!!

We presented our devices and were allowed to visit the prelab :)

Reflection Johanna

I am glad that we did a little test presentation and managed to present our stuff quite well (in my opinion). It was cool to see, how far we got within those three weeks and I am no longer scared of hardware (but I am still scared of servers). I also reeeeally enjoyed visiting the prelab and will definitely get my own VR-headset now 😊

Thank you Ulrich for your patience and guidance and we wish you all the best!

Reflection Stijn

I loved this module! I really feel the urge to put sensors all over my house at the moment, but I am not sure what they should do. The prelab was also very cool! I definitely would like to learn more about VR or Game Development, because I do not have any knowledge about it. If I can find the time I would like to start with something in that field and work my way into that world.

Thanks for everything Ulrich! It was a pleasure, you learned me a lot even with the fact that I already had quite some knowledge. I will definitely remember IoTEmpire and hope you will continue with that to promote it may be also inside Fontys?! As I have said before, even if you only use IoTEmpire for the purpose of the access point and MQTT broker it is already worth it! Your enthusiasm will be remembered because that is what I enjoyed the most about you!

Reflection Fadi

This was our last lesson, during this lesson we got to present what we built and everything went very well. The step after the presentation, we had to give feedback to Ulrich for what could have gone better and worse and then we finish by sorting the components.

It was sad that it ended so quickly, IoT really piqued my interest, and would have liked to continue working with it in the future. This course has been one of my favorites so far. Building electronics is something I have been passionate about since I was young. Thank you Ulrich for the time you were with us and learned from your knowledge, which will hopefully benefit us in the future. I hope I have the honor to attend several of your lessons in the future.
