The Story of Michael

Michael is a 21 year old student who lives in Spain on his own in a very cheap apartment. Since he moved out so early from his parents house, he has to work on weekends to be able to pay the rent. Michael has big dreams about changing the world and saving the environment. However, he is also very clumsy and forgets easy things like turning off the tap water or sense of time while showering. Therefore, he started using a smart system to help him manage his daily life, save the environment and even save his money.

7am: Michael wakes up.

7:30am: He goes to his bathroom to take a shower. Before he takes the shower he goes to the toilet. When sitting on the toilet Michael notices that the rainwater LED is green. This means that he collected some rainwater and therefore he selects the rainwater toilet flush option. Then he flushes the toilet and it uses rainwater instead of normal water. The rainwater gets collected in a container, which uses a scale to measure the amount of water. If it is empty (or zero weight), the LED lights will be red. If it’s full, the lights will be green.

7:35am: After his toilet visit, he walks to the sink. At the sink he chooses between the options: quick hand wash, hand wash, toothbrushing, unlimited and he selects the handwash. 30 seconds long there is water flowing out of the tap and in front of him is a video which describes how to wash your hands.

7:37am: Michael walks to his bedroom and selects clothes that he should wear for the day.

7:50am: When he comes back to the bathroom he walks to the shower and selects how much time he wants to shower. He sees on the display that he selected 15 minutes and walks into the shower. He turns on the shower. Immediately his favorite song starts to play. While he showers a LED strip is lighting with green lamps, slowly over time lamp for lamp are turning red to give Michael an identification how long he still has before the 15 minutes are passed. While the last 3 lights are turning slowly red, Michael knows he has to wash the last soap from his body. The water shuts off and Michael walks out to dry himself. Michael finishes the shower at 8:06am, during the time that Michael is drying himself the music is still playing. When he is done washing himself he turns off the music by himself.
