Frequently Asked Questions - Warenwolf/Flashpoints-of-the-Inner-Sphere GitHub Wiki

Can I add this to existing career?

Yes.

Can I remove this from existing career save?

You should be UNLESS you have started the flashpoint and saved the game. Then you would need to go to old save, prior to starting the flashpoint. However I have not tested all the cases and cannot guarantee that removing the mod will be possible once the flashpoint has been generated on the map.

Can we remove/change the timeline limit(s)?

If you don't care about consistency of the story line - indeed you can:

Removing the timeline limits: Many ways to do it but simplest is to start the game, press the mods button (bottom left in the main menu) and search for BT_Extended_FPLore. Then disable it and restart the game.

Changing the dates:

  • Go to the folder : Mods\BT_Extended_FPLore\flashpoints\
  • Open the file fp_NameOfTheFlashpoint.json (like "fp_smashAndGrab")
  • There are one or several "timeline_XXXX" statements, where XXXX stands for the in-game date ("timeline_3030_09_01" stands for 1st of September 3030. Another example is "timeline_3030" that stands for year 3030)
  • Typically the first one is for start date and the second one for the end date
  • Change those to the date which suits you

Special info regarding Legacy of Kerensky: you need to change the date that suits you in the FTE folder that you will find in the folder fp_kerenskysLegacy by opening fileJune_0.json and changing the "DateToFire": "3049-06-01" to a date that suits you.

Can this flashpoint be implemented in mod X,Y,Z or in the vanilla (un-modified) version of the game?

Theoretically yes but with some work to mechs or factions employed in the game (e.g. the Vulcan mech is not available in the vanilla version of the game and BEX mod adds factions which are not present in the vanilla) and provided contract structure used in the mod X, Y, Z is same as in the vanilla game.
