  • DHCP nak- message sent by DHCP server to inform client that the request cannot be fulfilled for various reasons, includes the information that cannot be fulfilled
  • DHCP inform- message sent by client requesting additional cofniguration information, not including IP. Frequently done when device already has a static IP
